CRU Bar & Kitchen

On the rooftop at 51 Lady Musgrave Road (St. Andrew) lies CRU Bar and Kitchen, a locale restaurant like no other. Nestled above Caribbean Producers Jamaica Limited (CPJ) is a venue that stands out with its sheer décor. Whether the menu is vintage wines or scrumptious finger foods, it is guaranteed that you will be in for a treat. Fabulous wine displays are artfully placed on CRU's restaurant walls. Comfortable furniture and fixtures are tastefully used to decorate the venue. In a refreshing atmosphere, with people in tuned to their own personal environment unravels an ideal dining option. I had the pleasure of visiting CRU on a Saturday - it was around 8 o’clock. On entering the CPJ building, I noticed that the parking lot surrounded the building which worked in the company’s favour. The entrance is paved into two giant wooden doors with the CRU sign neatly decked above in white. On the other side of the doors lie a stairway that leads to the dining and lounge area.

On entering the main area, there was no host to greet us so we kindly made our way to an empty table. Within a minute or two our waiter for the evening greeted us with menus. Shrimp Penne Alfredo and Breaded Fried Shrimp with a serving of fries topped off with CRU 71(drink) Moscato (white) was the order of the day. I must admit the CRU 71 was amazing! One of the better mixed drinks I’ve had in awhile. 

If you are in the town and looking for something different, something serene, then it would not hurt to give CRU Bar and Kitchen a visit. You can visit them for their quality customer service skills, the atmosphere, the affordable prices and I could go on.Did I mention that the menu is economically priced? Dining there was relaxing and I appreciated the refreshing feel of the environment. In one instance I actually felt in with tuned nature (sounds cliché but that was how I felt).
